Similar to our comprehensive eye exam, our contact lens exam tests visual acuity to determine current prescription and assesses the current state of your eye health to rule out any eye care concerns.
We will also take measurements of your cornea and pupils so we can determine which contact lens type will be the best fit. Similarly, we will evaluate your tear film composition to rule out any dry eye disease concerns.
Now that we know everything there is to know about your eye size, health, and prescription, we will make a contact lens recommendation. In addition to regular soft and gas permeable contact lenses, we offer an array of specialty lenses for astigmatism, irregular corneas, and more.
After we have discussed hygiene and proper insertion, we will have you put in your lenses. If you are happy with the comfort level and clarity of the lenses, we will send you home with some trial pairs. We will not order you a supply of lenses until you are completely happy with your choice.
When the trial period is over, we will have you back to discuss your contact lens experience so far and do a quick check of your eyes. If your lenses worked out, we’ll be happy to order you a long-term supply. If not, we will try another brand. We’ll keep trying until you are 100% satisfied.
